Tech with a twist of lime! & FLHybrid Club.

The creators of the Comedy Central Program, South Park obviously had more than a handful of run-ins with some self richeous, pushy, hybrid owners and environmentalists... 

Randy: "Lets make sure nobody gets a stupid hybrid right?

People: Rabble Rabble

Kyle: No!  Hybrid cars are a good thing

Mr. Mackey: But hybrid cars are a leading cause of smug, mkay

Kyle: Hybrid cars don't cause smugness, people do.  Look, hybrid cars are important, they may even save our planet one day.  What you all need to do is, learn to drive hybrids and not be smug about it.

Randy: You mean drive them hybrids but not act like we're better than everyone else because of it?

Kyle: Yeah"

South Park is a comedy so the townspeople weren't able to handle the challenge.  There are ways to promote environmentalism including cleaner transportation without upsetting people.  When people are mad they get closed-minded and won't listen to anything told to them even if you try to beat them into submission.  The Gainesville Hybrid Club is a place for interested parties to get together to discuss all aspects of hybrid ownership and meet in person at recreational gatherings.  Don't forget a few people actually need an SUV for their vocation, don't blindly persecute someone because they drive one that won't have the desired effect.
