Electrovaya to Develop Battery-Powered Lawn and Turf Equipment for New York State |

Major Opportunity and Growth Seen for Alternative and Green Energy in NY State
Electrovaya Inc. a provider of portable power solutions, today announced it intends to expand into New York State, where it will focus on developing pollution free, quiet, battery-powered lawn and turf equipment for the New York State parks and golf courses. Electrovaya has entered into a LOI to locate its US operations at the Saratoga Technology and Energy Park ("STEP"), New York State's first clean-energy and environmental technologies park, owned and operated by the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority ("NYSERDA"). In order for Electrovaya to develop power systems for the golf and turf industry, NYSERDA will provide up to $1 million, with additional support from the New York State Office for Parks Recreation and Historic Preservation ("NYSOPRHP"). Electrovaya's interest in investing in alternative energy technology in the fast-growing New York State market demonstrates its commitment towards environmentally friendly, zero-emission power solutions using its award winning, proprietary lithium ion SuperPolymer® technology. Peter R. There is no good reason why lawn equipment needs to run on gas, this is a step in the right direction, and with so many modeling their home equipment purchases after those with much more land to maintain, hopefully this move to cleaner lawn equipment will spread rapidly.
