PS3 picSo how many of you out there are watching, or have been watching, the game console war between PS3 and Wii? I for one have. Then again, I always figured that WII would do better than PS3   anyway.

I love Nintendo, they are a great company. I also love them because they came out with the Nintendo. When I was a kid my mom bought me a Nintendo with Mario and Duck Hunt. Now most kids would want like 30-40 games only to ditch them when the new system came out. Not me. I played that Nintendo into the ground. The spring loaded game door no longer popped up or down, it was seriously discolored from I believe all the heat that thing made while playing games, and my controllers no longer had words on them, they had long ago rubbed off from hours upon hours of my little fingers pressing buttons. After my good ol' Nintendo died on me I got a Super Nintendo with some of the greatest games ever. I actually still have this system as well as a PS2. I'm not some sentimental fool. I don't hang onto things past their usefulness and then agonize about getting rid of them, I assure you I'm not. I don't however see the need in paying upwards of a month's amount of bills on a single game console. Lets take a look at the current costs of the consoles. Sony's PS3 is being sold, base model for $415! Thats BASE MODEL! Thats double the Wii! Wii sold 405,000 units last month compaired to PS3's 148,000 units. Lets review how to make money, for Sony's sake: Your not supposed to let the other guy look so good, and you're supposed to have competitive pricing!! Obviously Sony didn't get my memo. Also, Wii has more game titles this round than PS3 and to be honest, they look like a lot more fun that some of the PS3 games. The only real complaint I hear from people is that the WII controllers are not safe, or that your arm will get tired. While I can see their point, you do have to be more interactive with the Wii, you don't have to swing your arm like a wild man. I have played on this system and to be honest, a little bit of movement is all it really takes to play with the controllers. As far as safe....they come with a strap, use it! If you don't, you are going to probably hurt yourself or someone around you. And you'll have no one to blame but yourself. Please don't sue Nintendo because you didn't feel like taking the time to be safe with the controllers. I see a price cut coming for PS3, probably by the end of the year, and they will have to get more game titles out for their console as well!

I wonder how people are going to react to Manhunt 2 being on Wii. Nintendo has always seemed very cautious about having those kind of games for their console, I wonder what changed their minds...
