Cingular's 8525 Smart Phone Review.

Cingular 8525, a smartphone that looks like a standard P.D.A. but slides open to reveal a full keyboard.
The 8525, designed and manufactured by HTC of Taiwan for Cingular, has a 3-inch touchscreen, a 2-megapixel camera and Bluetooth wireless networking.
It comes with 128 megabytes of internal storage and uses tiny MicroSD/TransFlash memory cards for extra space.
The 8525, which runs on Windows Mobile 5.0, weighs about six ounces and is as big as a deck of cards. When you slide out the keyboard, the individual keys glow bright blue, and the buttons are large and legible, even in the dark.
The phone will be available next Thursday in Cingular outlets and on its Web site for $400 with a new contract.
The 8525 works with most e-mail accounts and can support cellular network features like Edge and G.P.R.S. as well as Cingular’s new and faster network, which may not be available in all areas. Need an even faster connection? The 8525 also has Wi-Fi for surfing at hot spots.
