Windows Live Sync replacing FolderShare: What you need to know

Dear FolderShare friends,

We want to let you know what's next for FolderShare, and to make you aware of some important upcoming changes.

In December, we will release a new product called Windows Live Sync. You can think of it as FolderShare 2.0. It's going to look familiar and offer the same great features, plus:

  • More folders and files - sync up to 20 folders with 20,000 files each.
  • Integration with Windows Live ID - no more extra sign-in stuff to remember.
  • Integration with the Recycle Bin - no more separate Trash folder to fiddle with.
  • New client versions for both Windows and Mac.
  • Unicode support - sync files in other languages.

  Clock

Today is November 4th, 2007. Today officially ends Daylight Savings Time. Today you are suposed to turn your clocks back 1 hour so if it was 2am, your clock should be reading 1am; 6pm it should read 5 pm and so on.

Anyone with any funny daylight savings time stories? Don't be scared to share :)

Superstar of SuperStar blog has reviewed us.  Here's what she had to say:

GRLT.com website review
I like to judge what a website going to be about by the title. I know, it's a bad case of "judging a book by its cover" but it's just something I do. So the judgements I had for "Tech with a twist of lime!" were:

The design of the blog is a nice clean three column layout with the content in the center and other links on either side.

The information presented in the blog is very good. It brings news of what is going on technology world (fuel economy hybrid cars, and environmental issues, are the primary discussion topics). I was very pleased with the presentation and how organized and detailed it was.

Usually, when reviewing a weblog, I skim through the archives, dipping in occasionally to figure out more about the writer and where they are coming from. In this case, I sat and read through the entire archives and before I knew it, I was hooked.

Overall I this blog is done exceptionally well. I do not feel this is a perfect blog, and I don't think its one that everyone will enjoy, but overall this blog is one of the best of its types. Even if you aren't into reading up on technology, this blog is worth checking out.

I want to thank SuperStar for taking the time to review our site.

Today's posting is just to let everyone know I'm headed to Gainesville for Saturday and Sunday. I would really like to write Travelling Companions 3, so if you see me, wave or join me for a short distance.

The Ups will be having a show Saturday at 1982 bar and lounge you're all welcome stop by if you are in the area.  1982 is an all-ages venue. See www.gainesvillebands.com for details, show starts at 2000 (8pm).  If you didn't know my brother is the bassist for the band, looking forward to seeing some of you out there.

In case you forgot the vehicle, its a silver 3rd generation (hatchback) Prius, with lettering on the front and back windows.

I have finished writing up the list of all the voice commands that I know, for the Toyota Voice Activated Navigation systems. Not all commands work on every vehicle, this article covers Toyota, Lexus and Scion, vehicles equipped with voice activation but it will also work on some GM voice navigation systems.

You can find the updated article in the knowledge base.
